Please help me in giving my bag a makeover.
Now you may think that I am totally crazy to ruin a lovely Fendi bag, but the bag been used fairly and needs a makeover. I have bought some fabric and acrylic paints to inject some colour and make it look better(?). Most of my designer bags are browns, blacks, blues, grey, beige and red! I don’t have a bright, fun coloured bag (apart from red!). Below are a few pictures of what I was thinking.
Or should I go safe and stick to the black and brown combo? Like this satchel..
Arggg… It’s so confusing!!! What do you guys think? Which one is your favourite and what would look better?

I think there is definitely going to be an element of yellow there but I am still deciding on other colours. I am yet to wash the bag, dry it and then start my work on it. I will surely do a post on it but my artistic skills are hugely questionable! lol.. :p
I think 2 would look amazing! Plus I think it would go with everything. I love the bright pop of yellow; gives it that extra pop. 3 would be gorgeous for spring with the turquoise and light blue but I honestly think you would get the most wear out of 2. I think your idea to makeover this bag is awesome! I am also curious to see how you do it! Hope this helps and good luck!
P.S. I am a fellow vintage Fendi bag owner (found it in my mom’s closet and couldn’t believe she never used it so I cleaned it up and its the perfect crossbody bag)
Thanks a ton for your opinion/suggestion Hayley. Very helpful thank you 🙂 Well… That is exactly what I am looking for! To be able to wear it anytime during the year, irrespective of the season. I love bright colours but few colours are so spring/summer like you mentioned. I guess I will add some colour but try and keep it neutral as well, so it goes with everything or most outfits I wear. I will definitely do a post on that (slightly nervous about it now! lol).
Aw.. Mum’s bags are the best bags. My Mum is no more, but I have saved most of her nice bags for me. It’s so sentimental, yet these pieces will never go out of fashion. Nice to know that you are using your Mum’s bag now. I am sure that will be your fav one out of the lot! 🙂 xxx

I especially like the shade of yellow you chose, a very rich and warm color! I am also thinking bag 4 would be awesome too. I’m in love with the colors and the detailing!!
Aww I am so sorry about your mom. And yes I also have my mom’s bucket Louis Vuitton bag that I love to use too. My mom has worked in the fashion industry for 30 years and actually my love of fashion came from her. I’m sure you’re mom would be very proud of you and again I cant wait to see how you makeover this bag! I’ve never done DIY stuff when it comes to handbags or really anything haha so who knows this could be your big break!

Awww.. You are so sweet Hayley. Thank you so much. YAY to yellow. That’s my fav colour. Once you keep looking at those photos, it gets confusing right? haha.. I have written down the colours, all that needs to be done is slotting it in the right place. 🙂

Your Mum and most mum’s must have seen such a HUGE change and transformation in the fashion industry?! In the late 90’s when my Mum used to tell me what used to be in fashion during her uni days, I used to make fun of it and say “Ew.. how do you wear that!”. And now, everything I said ‘ew’ has come back to trend! hahahha… strange times. I have learnt never to give away anything.
