Aloha! I have missed being active and doing my regular posts. Let’s just say I was having days or ‘months’ of me time and not going over board with my pregnancy. But that does not mean I haven’t been documenting the weeks and months leading up to the birth of my beautiful daughter (blessed!). π
I was clueless till about 2 months of being pregnant. It was only when the nausea kicked in at around 8 weeks, I knew something was wrong (or, rather right!). My positive pregnancy test confirmed that I indeed had a ‘bun in my oven’ π Everyday seemed like a passing year but now when I look back, those few months have flown by so quick!
37 weeks and 2 days later, after an intense 30 hour labor and agonising pain, all was forgotten when I saw my beautiful ‘Jiyaa’ for the first time. I see my beloved Mother in my darling daughter which makes each day special with her. Having a loving mother-in-law to help around has made it slightly easier for me to focus on the baby and take my mind of other household chores! π The last few days certainly hasn’t been easy but I am hanging on to what most people say ‘each day gets better’ π
Although caring for a newborn has been hard, I shall not wish for the days to pass quickly (with reference to the above picture!) π . Have a good weekend folks. π xxx
