Breast Cancer Awareness month (and your previous participation)
Couple of months ago I had posted a topic on participating for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research, where I had requested family and friends to support me with my cause (click here full details). Today, being the 1st of October, a month dedicated towards Breast Cancer Awareness, I take the opportunity to thank everyone who took time to email or message me their pictures in pink to support my cause. This has meant a lot to me. As promised, I did donate the contributions to UK Cancer Research on the 19th of May, the day I lost my beloved Mother to this horrible illness.
Let us take a moment to remember and pray for all the brave people, their families and loved ones who are or have battled this illness together.
Pretty little heart(s)
I am a HUGE fan of prints, any print! And, when I spotted this heart print shirt from Burberry, I was drooling all over it! But seriously would I pay a fortune (Β£500!) just for ‘heart print shirt’ even though it is one of the cutest prints?! No way!! Lucky me! I found something similar in Select for a fraction of the price! π Talk about thrift shopping!! πΒ Anyway, I wore my heart(s) my sleeve yesterday for a lovely afternoon tea with my girls. π

Quick fix 6
Today I realised that it has been quite a while since I have posted any of my ‘quick fix’ recipes. It just hasn’t occurred to me to take pictures and do a post. Well anyway, here’s me today presenting to you with my yummy ‘Jacket/baked potato with beans and salad’. Mmmmm… π This is very basic and probably the easiest to make. For this you will need…
Chocolate cake for my hubby darling
Hello everybody! I am back to those of you who have missed me! π Yes! I am still alive! lol. Ok so it has been a crazy long time since I have done a post. This summer has been a little busy but I am glad to be posting after what feels like years!! A lot has happened over the past few months and it does feel like there’s a lot to catch up on. But nonetheless, I shall start off with something sweet and something very recent.
So it was my lovely husband’s birthday a couple of days ago. I am not the kind who favours cooking/baking but when it comes to indulging, count me in! π Continue reading
Peanut chutney/spread (recipe)
I always thought peanut chutney/peanut spread involved so much preparation until, I was told otherwise by my dear friend who gave me this easy recipe. So here it is.

Detox drink
It has been insane considering the amount of eat outs and takeaways we have had in the past week. So I decided to opt for a slightly healthier alternative this week, compared to the amount of junk food I’ve been consuming all the while. I am going back to my healthy smoothie drink as an alternative to my junk snack. Today being the first day, I decided to try this amazing detox drink.
For this detox drink, you will need… Continue reading
Hello Sunshine!
It’s been a pleasant sunny day today. I feel like the weather girl reporting on the weather ever so often. Lol. But for the majority and me, it’s a joy to feel and witness this once a while bright sunny day. π
Here’s me today wearing…
Would you like to participate?
Every time I do a post, it’s always been focused around me. I just realised that for once I could take away the focus from me and involve my family, friends and anyone interested to participate in one of my posts.
It’s simple. Since one/few of my recent posts were on pink, I decided on making a post where anyone interested in participating can send me pictures of their outfit in pink.
Why am I doing this?Β I will be honest. Initially when I came up with this idea, I wanted it to be a fun post.Β But then, I wanted my post to have some meaning to it and not just another fashion post. Since I published ‘a week in pink’ post during this month, I thought I could use it as an excuse to get you participating in my next post.
The colour ‘pink’ is not just a colour. It is a colour which also signifies ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’. I thought I could use this opportunity to contribute towards Breast Cancer Research and Awareness by raising funds for the Cancer charities.Β Coming May, it will be 2 years since I lost my Mother and, 12 years since I lost my Aunt to Breast Cancer. So if I could show support in a small way, I would.
Afternoon tea with the girls
I mentioned on Saturday that I was having the girls over for some afternoon tea. The tea went really well. To be honest, this was the first time I was hosting tea at home and, I was so excited by the thought of it. I always remember having these ‘tea parties’ as a little girl. I would role play them by myself or, with my friends. We always had fun doing so. So, when I had the opportunity to host one as an adult, I just could not wait to step into the role of hosting one. π
A week in pink (Day 6)
Today has been absolutely gorgeous. The weather outside has been so perfect after all the gloomy, rainy days we have had so far. I am sure most of us are feeling so happy and chirpy about it. I certainly am enjoying every bit of it. π Anyway, here’s me on day 6 wearing pink, bringing out the maxi, sandals and sunglasses. π

Easter weekend
After ages, my DH and me decided to take a couple’s break for this Easter weekend. It was all very last minute but a well deserved break. We headed towards ‘Bath Spa’ for this weekend. The weather was amazing on the day we decided to do touristy bits and, on the other day it was gloomy, so we decided to stay indoors and make the most of the hotel’s spa treatments. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful weekend and a BIG thanks to my sweetheart who despite having a hectic work schedule, took a couple of days off (only from London, but not from work! lol) to take me away. π
The city of Bath is so romantic to me. It’s definitely one my favourite cities in England. Here’s a glimpse of our weekend. Lots of food, pictures and feeling relaxed. π
Happy to be here……
Mushroom curry
I just realised that I have been posting quite a lot about food that I’ve been cooking lately. No, I am not 100% fond of cooking. I would love it if someone cooked all my meals for me or have take always every single day without ruining my health. π Continue reading
Vegetable tempura
I have to admit that I have never ever cooked deep-fried food till date. Any food deep-fried related is always looked after by my husband (bless him, he’s really good at it). I have several (genuine!) reasons for not cooking deep-fried food. Continue reading
Friday catch up
Today was all about catching up with a dear friend, having an amazing lunch together at Cafe Bistro, desserts at Selfridges and a wee bit of retail therapy at Bond street. Happy day π

Mediterranean salad
I had a very heavy lunch today and hence, I decided to go slightly easy on my dinner. π So here’s my Mediterranean salad.
Soya chunks fry
Soya products are my favourite (except for soya milk!). Soya chunks, mini chunks and, soya mince, are a great substitute for meat products and they are equally tasty.
Soya also comes with additional health benefits when consumed moderately. These include; high protein content, ability to lower cholesterol, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and, they are rich in vitamins. Isn’t that great?! π
One of my favourite (of many!) soya recipes is what I would like to call, the ‘soya fry’. Thanks to my sister for sharing this recipe with me. I love this dish.
Ingredients:
Baked parsnip chips
I was inspired to do this post after my fellow blogger, Nicole, posted a healthy and easy to prepare post on ‘healthy chips’. I immediately had to try the kale chips, but unfortunately Tesco didn’t have kale so I picked up parsnip instead and gave it my own twist. π

Lunch date on a bright day
Today was a bright, sunny (yet cold) day in London. My husband and me decided to relish on some Arabic cuisine for lunch.
